Jason Baker
Hello! Thanks for visiting my blog. I am a Test Engineer at Hyland Software. I enjoy building websites, hiking in old growth forests, architecture, cooking, feasting, photography, and maximizing fuel economy in any car I drive.
In addition to this blog, I have built quotemuseum.com, and a few single page web applications. My web applications include an online version of the license plate game, acheck list, and a tool for visualizing how much interest your loans will cost.
My blog uses a content management system I coded myself using the LAMP stack. Why did I create a CMS when there are plenty of capable free CMS's? So I could learn! Creating this from scratch forced me to learn HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, JavaScript, graphic design, photography, and typography. All of my sites were done by hand in a text editor, photo editor, and command line.
In addition to what I listed above I also have over 4 years experience with .NET and C#. I've spent much of that time writing automated web UI tests using Selenium and NUnit. In my spare time I have also create ASP.NET Core REST API's and done some work with Angular front ends. See quotemuseum.com for an example of my Angular and REST API work. My license plate game also uses Angular.
